Brushegg cosmetic brush cleaner scrub tool

Aptly named Brushegg because it resembles an egg shape the Brushegg cosmetic brush cleaner scrub tool is a new, quick and effective tool to help with cleaning your make-up brushes.

Based on the washboard principle, the Brushegg cosmetic brush cleaner tool is designed for those who prefer to clean their cosmetic brushes with liquid soap and water.

The dual size ridges are specially designed to to agitate the brush fibres, ensuring a deeper brush clean. The smaller ridges, at the tip of the egg are for cleaning your smaller cosmetic brushes ,while the larger ridges are perfect for brushes such as foundation brushes and bronzing brushes.  Made from silica it’s fully washable and will serve it’s purpose for many years to come.

How to use

For a deeper brush clean it’s recommended to work with plenty of  warm water, ideally in a wash hand basin. Clean each of your brushes individually  to ensure each brush is thoroughly cleaned. Put your brush into the water filled basin and slip the Brushegg mitten onto your fingers. Pump the liquid cleaner onto the Brushegg ridges and rub the brush bristles gently along the ridges. Rinse and continue the process until all traces of cosmetics are removed and the cleansing foam becomes clear.

When you have finished rinse and stand the  Brushegg cosmetic brush cleaner scrub tool upright to drain.

General tip

A neglected make-up brush is basically a breeding ground for bacteria. Every time you put a brush to your face you’re transferring bacteria from the skin to the brush. Without proper regular cleansing, your make-up brushes will become a breeding ground for dirt and bacteria, putting your skin at risk of pimples and breakouts.  If you do suffer from problem skin then up your brush cleaning regime to help.

Ideally, you should be washing your brushes weekly, but realistically you shouldn’t leave it more than a few weeks between cleaning.
