Pre manicure:
NEVER cut your cuticles and NEVER attempt to push back your cuticles without moisturising first. If the skin if not fully softened you can easily damaged or tear the cuticle. Sit you hands in warm water for a few minutes to soften the skin. Softened cuticles are far easier to ease back and the the tool especially designed for the job is is a cuticle pusher.
If you’re not planning on painting your nails, apply finga-nails nourishing cuticle oil to add moisture back to your skin. Dab the oil generously around the cuticle area and massage into the nail, cuticle and fingers. Massage the both finger and nail in a downward and upward motion along each finger. When the cuticle skin is fully softened, use a gentle rubber hoof tip cuticle pusher, to gently ease them back. The next step is shaping the nail. If your nails are weak or damaged it’s better to keep them short. Use a gentle abrasion nail file such a finga- nail mineral file or glass nail file. Never use a metal file or emery grit as this will damage the nail
Post manicure:
Great nails start with health cuticles.
If plan to paint your nails it’s important you clean off any oil residue with an acetone free nail polish remover. This will clean and prep the nails ready for painting.
After applying nail lacquer you can also use cuticle oil lightly over the polish to speed up the drying process.
