For safety reasons before using your flask for the first time, it should be rinsed out several times with clean water. This removes any residue that might be left over from production. Never clean your flask with soap as this will taint the contents.
For a more thorough clean, mix equal parts of warm water and white distilled vinegar and fill your flask half full before closing the lid and shaking vigorously. Thoroughly rinse before adding favourite spirit. Not suitable for dishwashers.
